Hoosiers is one of the best sports movies of all time, and this is one of the best scenes in the movie.  It is arguably the greatest basketball movie of all time, at least it is to this sports fan.

Gone is the talk about bringing in Vincent Lecavalier, although it's funny how these kinds of rumours never really die.  In 2009, the Montreal Canadiens built their new identity through the signings of Brian Gionta, Micheal Cammalleri, and Scott Gomez.  They parted ways with their captain, Saku Koivu, and moved on from the flashy Alexei Kovalev.  This was the new direction of the Canadiens.  So now that we are three years removed from this major shift in the franchise, let's assess the state of the team. Growing up I was absolutely enamored with the game of baseball. In my humble opinion, baseball stands alone atop the Mount Rushmore of North American sports in its ability to be romanticized. If you remember the  leitmotif of the movie, "Moneyball", was "It's hard to not be romantic about baseball." It's tough to find a line in a film that resonates so much with reality, at least as I see it. What other game can you watch someone try and be perfect for 27 outs and roughly 130 excruciating pitches? What other game can you watch someone lose their mind over an incident involving the length of pine tar applied to a bat? What other game can you get 'beaned', watch the pitcher 'balk', take your base, avoid being picked off by a sly pickoff move, and jump out of the way of your teammate's line drive all in a matter of a minute? The Molina Brothers

How can three brothers all have stand out careers in Major League Baseball?  This seems to be so outlandish that it could not be true.  However, Bengie (born July 20, 1974 - age 38), Jose (born June 3, 1975 - age 37), and Yadier (born July 13, 1982 - age 30) are three brothers who are living this reality.  In fact, all three brother played and two continue to play the most gruelling position on the diamond, that being catcher. Benjamin (Bengie) or "Big Money" broke into the Majors on September 21st, 1998 for the Anaheim Angels.  He had a career batting average of .274, knocked out 144 home runs to go along with 711 RBI's.  He played for the Anaheim Angels and stayed with them as they became the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, then played for the Toronto Blue Jays (2006), the San Francisco Giants (2007–2010), and finished in the heat of Arlington with the Texas Rangers (2010).  He was a two time Gold Glove Award w...
