NFL: Week 11 Picks

After a stellar 12/14 week we have fallen back down to earth in a hurry.  Last week was a 9/14 week and it's time to pick things up again.  I was so disappointed in the Giants, Lions, Dolphins, and the Falcons (who now are no longer undefeated).  The other shocker was the St. Louis Rams forcing a tie with the San Francisco 49ers.  The Patriots are showing a real weakness in the secondary with a 6-3 record while the 49ers have a concussed quarterback to go along with a 6-2-1 record.  These two teams need to show me something more in the coming weeks if they are to peek at the right time and meet each other in the Superbowl at the Superdome in February.

The Washington Redskins have broken my heart a couple times already this year so "come on Redskins, go out there and beat the struggling Eagles at FedExField!"

Here is That's Sports' NFL: Week 11 Picks...

Buffalo Bills over Miami Dolphins (Thursday nighter)
Detroit Lions over Green Bay Packers
Atlanta Falcons over Arizona Cardinals
Tampa Bay Buccaneers* over Carolina Panthers
Dallas Cowboys over Cleveland Browns
Washington Redskins over Philadelphia Eagles
New York Jets* over St. Louis Rams
Cincinnati Bengals* over Kansas City Chiefs
Houston Texans over Jacksonville Jaguars
New Orleans Saints* over Oakland Raiders
Denver Broncos over San Diego Chargers
New England Patriots over Indianapolis Colts
Baltimore Ravens* over Pittsburgh Steelers (Sunday nighter)
San Francisco 49ers over Chicago Bears (Monday nighter)

- * indicates road team picked
- 3/6 correct road picks last week
- 5/14 road teams picked this week
- _____ indicates bold pick (under the circumstances)
- Byes: Vikings, Giants, Seahawks, Titans

My bold pick this week is actually a home team - the Detroit Lions.  Given their embarrassing loss last week to the mediocre Minnesota Vikings paired with a formidable opponent rolling into the Motor City, all signs point to a Lions loss.  Which is exactly why I am taking them to beat the Packers.  I feel that coach, Jim Schwartz, will have the Lions good and hungry for this one.  I expect big things from Matthew Stafford and Mega-tron (Calvin Johnson).

The Ravens and Steelers match-up should be a nail bitter per usual.  It will be a game definitely worth tuning in for.  The other game to watch is the 49ers-Bears Monday nighter.  Both teams have concussed QB's and therefore a few question marks heading into this one.  All in all this should be a very interesting Week 11 in the NFL.

Enjoy the games folks!
